Youngkin wants audit of voting machines ahead of Virginia election

Repost from Just The News.

Virginia’s Republican gubernatorial candidate Glen Youngkin announced Tuesday that he wants an audit of the commonwealth’s voting machines ahead of the November election.

Youngkin is going up against Democratic former Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

According to The Hill, Youngkin spoke at a rally and said the audit is necessary in order to ensure transparency ahead of the election.

“I just think, like, I grew up in a world where you have an audit every year, in businesses you have an audit,” he said. “So let’s just audit the voting machines, publish it so everybody can see it.”

Youngkin also called for other key voting reforms, such as the Elections Department being moved out of the governor’s office, to make it less political.

Governor Ralph Northam’s office has not addressed Youngkin’s request.

Virginians for America First (VFAF) is a 501(c)4 established in early 2021 by the Reverend Leon Benjamin. The goal of VFAF is to unify the citizens of the Commonwealth and focus their efforts to regain the majority in the Virginia House of Delegates in 2021. This is the first step in stopping Virginia’s slide into the totalitarian abyss, and the first step in the restoration of our American republic as envisioned by the founders - a republic that provides and protects the freedom and liberties of all it citizens based on the meaning of our national motto, “In God We Trust.”
